Welcome to White Bear Education Complex

White Bear Education Complex (WBEC) is a home away from home for your child. At WBEC, “Every Child Matters,” and we are here to ensure that your child is in a safe place. WBEC is located in White Bear First Nations in the southeast corner of the Moose Mountain area of Saskatchewan and consists of four First Nations: Cree, Dakota, Nakoda, and Saulteaux. The White Bear First Nations is located 13 kilometres north of Carlyle, Saskatchewan, on Highway 9 and is 12,040 hectares (120.4 square kilometres) in size. In 1875, Chief Wahpemakwa signed Treaty No. 4 on behalf of the population of 24 families (82 people). The traditional languages spoken are Cree, Dakota, Nakoda, and Saulteaux. Approximately 867 of the 2,805 band members live on the 12,038.4-ha reserve.

The purpose of WBEC's website is to inform students, parents, caregivers, community members, and others regarding all components of White Bear education. This website will provide expectations, forms, handbooks, policies, schedules, and information about the WBEC team.
